Grohe Shower Heads and shower value plates

Hi, I was looking for Grohe shower heads and Grohe shower valves. Read few reviews and discovered that the are not metal but plastic. I called up Grohe, and they have confirmed that their shower heads and valves are made of ABS/ pastic. Anyone has feesback if its OK to have Grohe or should I consider some other brand ?

Our Grohe shower is 15 years old and still going strong. It was recommended by the fitter because we have a high pressure water system.
