Low standing charge electricity tariffs

There don't seem to be any no standing charge Electricity tariffs, but the tariffs with lowest standing charges are hard to identify/find. Any recommendations? Like others we have been shifted from Ebico to British Gas, and I'm quite keen to leave BG before they shift me to a new tariff on July 31st. Thanks

The tariffs with lowest standing charge are ludicrously easy to identify. Just enter an annual consumption of 1kWh into a comparison site.3

But it's objectively better to identify the cheapest overall tariff by inputting your actual estimated annual consumption in kWh; unless you are planning to switch in less than a year e.g. if the property will be empty for the next six months or if you have solar PV and battery storage so your summer usage will be almost nothing in comparison to the winter. Unfortunately prices seem to be on a rapid upward trajectory so the small saving in standing charge may be entirely offset by increased unit prices if you wait until later in the year to fix.Tallerdave said:The tariffs with lowest standing charge are ludicrously easy to identify. Everybody's thoughts on this (mine included) can be found here.

I was simply challenging the (incorrect) statement made and flagging up the simple solution.Petriix said:

If I was going to jump to conclusions about someone's actual consumption profile, I would conclude that a customer of Ebico knew what they were doing.....2 -
I've now done what is ludicrously easy (now you mention it!) and had already been looking at estimated annual consumption quotes. As for knowing, as an Ebico customer, what I am doing....!!! Ha, I wish. Thanks for hints though Tallerdave and Petrix.2

I recommend scrolling down to the bottom of the list of BG tariffs. 😉0 -

I recommend scrolling down to the bottom of the list of BG tariffs. 😉
It is designed to allow existing customers to find details of the tariff they are on
AS BG state, "Just so you know, some of the energy tariffs you see may no longer be available to new customers."
