    They do look like the result of focussed sunlight.  If that's plastic, it won't get hot enough to melt just from being under glass, otherwise anything plastic would melt in a greenhouse or conservatory, so that looks like the result of magnified sunlight.  It will either be caused by an imperfection in the glass (such as a bubble or chip) or something on or nearby the glass focussing the light.  e.g. a glass of water.
    I'm thinking water droplets on the glass, either from condensation on a cold drink or a few spots of rain.
