Did I read somewere that as long as I am covered by fit notes - DWP would not be requiring an assessment? I have sent in the ESA500

I have sent in the ESA50Not sure where you read that too but it's not quite correct. As has been advised to you in previous threads. Claiming ESA for NI credits only means you need to go through the same process as everyone else. Most people require an assessment, which at the moment are mostly done through telephone, although face to face assessments have started back up and some people have had them. Paper based assessments are rare but possible.Remember that the work capability assessment assesses your ability to do any type of work and not just the work you "used "to do.If an assessment is needed the Health Assessment Advisory Service will contact you. How long this will take is anyone's guess.Edit to add, if either assessment is needed you need to make sure you attend, failure to do so will find you fit to work and your NI credits will stop.0
