I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

Hello everyone,
I know its been a long time since I posted. I'm OK but with everything what's happening in the country at the moment I just wanted to take time out from everything and live a life without hearing how bad things were everywhere. That's all I'm going to say.
My life is still following a fairly frugal and simple path, but it's gradually becoming more difficult with all the price increases but heyho things happen and I can't see it getting better anytime soon.
I haven't been to the lottie for a few weeks, I seem to have lost all interest, which is sad because there are veggies growing down there and in the present time I suppose its a bit irresponsible not to pick them. I keep thinking that I will give it up, as it is hard work and it wipes me out the day after so I have to rest up, but then with the prices going up all the time it's needed now more than ever! I'm still growing in my back garden that provides me with quite a lot, but there's not enough to give family members and that makes me feel very guilty about not going to the lottie. So I'm unsure what to do and change my mind on a daily basis.
Moneywise; I'm unable to save any for repairs, decorating etc after all my bills have been paid and everyday expenses have been budgeted for, which really gets me down and it will only get worse as time goes on, I haven't worked anything out budget wise to see if its possible to actually save but I will have to before too long, I just haven't been able to face it just yet.
So that's about it, I'll carry on being frugal and living as simply as I can for as long as I can before it gets too difficult for me to do so and then ....
By the way I now have the pup full time, so I have another mouth to feed but youngest is helping out as he was her dog like food, insurance, flea and worming tablets so I'm like a landlady to him!! I take him long walks so that gives me and him much needed exercise and time to plan the way forwards and he is such a lovely dog, such a softy and excellent company. I'm very lucky to have him.

PS I'll be back on a more regular basis from now to get ideas, recipes and have a nosey around the boards for ideas lol!!

To be honest kelpie I'm better off than many oap's, I own my house, run a car (although I don't go far these days) and I've never had to go without food! and yes we just have to keep plodding along as best we can.

Just remember things are the same almost everywhere (I live in America - we have Trump plus high prices for everything). I get very discouraged too. But my parents and grandparents lived through the Depression and World War II and they made it, so I should be able to live through this and just tighten the belt some more. Every generation has problems. I learned this doing family history. If you think you have it bad, try finding out about your ancestors before there were safety nets. There isn't any generation I would trade places with. Just keep plodding along and we will send you more (((hugs))).6
