Hi.. I’m looking to put around £5500 away for about 3 years as a gift for my daughter. I may want to add a little to it while it’s squirrelled away. I don’t want to risk losing it on stocks and shares. Can anyone suggest a safe scheme or bank that may accumulate a few £’s while I don’t need it ?

Kent Reliance and Oaknorth Bank are offering 1% for a fixed term of 12 months.
After the 12 months, you could always keep it going for another year and then of course for a 3rd year. There is a good possibility that the interest rates are on the slight increase.0
