Cannot Log On to Boots Website

I have been having issues with Boots for a few weeks. When I log on to the website it says this:

boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/BootsCiamsLogon

Sometimes it says:

An invalid cookie was received for the user, yourlogonId may be in use by another user.

The app is temperamental too and I'd never use it to do a big shop as things just randomly disappear from the basket.

I have contacted Boots about this and they've said delete cache/cookies which I've done but it hasn't made any difference.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Try a different browser Edge/Chrome or InPrivate/Incognito mode
  • I've tried Chrome, Edge and FireFox
  • I've just tried Incognito mode and it doesn't make a difference, it still displays the same as above

I've had a few issues with Boots website and they were resolved by removing any blocking of cookies etc to allow tracking for that particular website. Worth a try?
  • Yes I have been having this issue too. Also for the past few weeks. Problem is on Chrome and Edge on Windows 10 and also on the app on Android. I have lost hours of my life trying to make it work. Have also contacted Boots but they have no clue other than suggesting all of the above. I have even set a whole new profile on Windows which should have no rogue cookies. Boots must be losing sales at a very alarming rate.

I haven't been able to use the Boots website for months either.

I suspected it's something to do with the cookie and web blockers I use but turning various ones on and off never resolved it.

Just clicked on your link. When I click on 'Login/register' I just get the same page reloading with no opportunity to enter any details..

I created a dummy account using the link from @ann_droid post earlier.  And managed to register and log in multiple times over.

I would be inclined to say there's nothing wrong with it, as it works fine for me however I did notice that the elements that make up the "returning customer" section are the last to appear even though they are in the middle of the webpage.  Tradition used to be that a page loaded as it went, but that doesn't appear to be the case here.  A quick shufty through the source code features various error codes and whatever else which may appear depending on the form, and there is a script on the very bottom of the page.  That would suggest to me one of two things:

    1) The page isn't loading properly or fully (or Javascript is disabled/restricted/being interferred with by the likes of Noscript or ad-blocking software such as uBlock/Ad-Block Plus) and because it doesn't load properly the code to fire up the form doesn't get run so there's nothing to see

    2) Something else on a network is causing the issue, maybe something like PiHole or (router pending) is intercepting something.

It may be worth if possible utilising another network, or even mobile data with a decent signal, as a testing point.
