Broadband contract renewal - signup as new customer?

My broadband contract with TalkTalk is coming to the end of its term.
I can renew the contract as an existing customer for £25/month but new customers to TalkTalk to the same plan have an effective rate of £17.5 a month (cheaper monthly fee + £80 reward card).
What should I do?

Call them up and threaten to leave if they don't give you the new customer rate - you'll most likely have to call them to cancel your contract anyway. If they don't give it to you then cancel your service and have your wife sign up for a new contract.0

Not sure if husband exits then a cease or resupply price applies .Always worth checking .

General consensus seems to be that it will only work if you use a different bank account and possibly also if your wife's surname is not the same as yours -otherwise they put two and two together !!1

I ended up calling the call centre and getting the rate advertised for new customers (minus the reward card from comparison sites though). ie renewed at £22/month instead of £27/month3
