There are a couple of recipes on the Slimmingeats website - one for the SC and one for mini meat loaves. Don't know if either appeal to you @PipneyJane.

Well, I've added £83 to my total, which isn't complete guesswork but by this time of night on OH's birthday I'm blowed if I can remember exactly what was spent where & on what! I think it was £59 at the market this morning, and £24 at the supermarket. The amount of cash I have left, and the supermarket receipt, agree with that total. I'm possibly missing a bakery spend on Wednesday; it's been a manic week. I know it was about £7 but I'll have to check the bank account. Shouldn't need too much more to get through the coming week but that depends on - well, a multitude of factors, but particularly whether DS2 & DDiL need any more catering support! That said, there's plenty of stuff in the freezer and at the allotment, and they're doing just fine.Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)4

Happy Birthday to your OH @thriftwizard - hope you're enjoying a well earned respite now.
I popped in to a new rather 'socks and sandals' shop that I happened to pass today and had the lovely experience of watching the member of staff take a notepad round the shelves so that she could find out the prices for my selections as there were no price stickers on anything and no scanner at the till. She then couldn't give me a receipt as they don't print them and when I asked for an electronic one sent me what proved to be a mere note of the total amount with no itemisation so I've had the devil of a time working out how much to debit from which pot. Then to crown everything one of the items proved to be labelled best before the end of June and when I went back at 3:30pm they had already shut although the sign on the door gave the opening hours as 11-4! Grrrrr! No wonder they weren't busy!
Anyway, I bought a tin of Hodmedod's Carlin Peas and some Green Thai Curry Paste for £5.34 which makes my new total £43.15/£124 and my average daily spend £2.53.5 -
3 shops to declare, 10th £12.21 in little T on milk bread coffee, sugar, fruit, yoghurt, biscuits and pepsi.
then yesterday £10.46 in co*p on milk, bread, juice, frozen pizza, potato cakes, cat food and sweets.
and today another little T shop of £12.56 on potatoes, orange and apple juices, ribena, irn bru, bin bags, cheese, butter, chocolate and some tortilla chips to go with the left over chilli.
£35.53 left til 24th which i think is doable, we have almost a weeks worth of evening meals so with a bit of planning we should make it to the end of the month. im pretty proud of myself as ive normally given up by now!5 -
Small spend of 95p on some ys chicken thighs and a bunch of bananas. Love the c00p offers as a member as they often have 50p off meat/poultry and 50p off fruit (today was 50p off the basket). Meant I got £2.16 worth for 95p when you count my 10% student discount on top. Chicken in the freezer for another day and bananas will be eaten through the week.
Spent £1.58 yesterday on 2 2litre milks.
Shouldn't need to buy a huge amount this week - will need a small amount of veg, a loaf of bread, some more milk later in the week.Grocery Challenge 2024

Quite a few spends to declare, total comes roughly in line with weekly spend though so happy enough.
£14.20 & £7.30 at the Co-op, can't remember what for, but showing as transactions
£35.01 at Lidl. this was a weekend shop really, I went camping with DD while DH stayed at home with DSS having a lads night - so those kinds of food.
£2.60 - Milk and a coke for camping
£22.22 at the Co-op - sent DH for a pie and potatoes to make an easy dinner, they didn't have any, he panicked and bought 3 ready meals instead, plus some beer and wine. He then decided actually the ready meals on the last day of having DSS for the week was rubbish so we went out to dinner instead. Not always the most relaxing with a 2 year old, but it really was one of those days :-)
I will need to do a basics top-up today, but planning to mainly live out of the freezer (plus the ready meals) this week, as we're away from Friday so want to make sure we don't have anything go to waste.

I spent £12 at B**ts on vitamin B complex tablets which were on a 3 for 2 offer and then went on to Sainsby's where I bought kitchen roll and organic veggie stock cubes for £2.59 followed by M*rks where I spent £16.65 on flowers, milk, radishes, carrots and 2 jars of marked down to clear cashew butter which was a bit of an indulgence at £1.25 for 227g but not as bad as it could have been.
My new total is £75.75/£124 and my daily average spend is £3.98."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."
