I totally agree I could of created a dozen emails by now but I guess this was the final straw the sheer incompetence and bureaucracy involved with Universal credit is too much.0

Easiest thing to do would be to buy your own domain name (e.g. yourname.co.uk)
Then all you have to do is change the bit before the @yourname.co.uk and all emails can then be routed to one inbox.
It's also handy if an email provider shuts down or you change ISP. You don't lose your email address. You just re-route your emails to another provider.

Open a Gmail account, unless you already have one.
Eg, xxxtom@gmail.com
Create email children by adding the " + " symbol., whenever the need arises.
Eg, xxxtom+june@gmail.com
xxxtom+july@gmial.com
and so on ad infinitum.
The creation takes place automatically when you issue a new "+xxxxxx"
All will be delivered to the original xxxtom address. Try it and see.

Common problems are losing/forgetting username/password which can be reset, or no longer having access to the email address which can be changed by a member of staff in the jobcentre. But yes, the email address is linked to an account (a claim sits inside an account like a letter sits inside an envelope) and you can not use an email address for a new claim which is in use on a previous account. This is to prevent people accidentally opening two (or multiple) claims.2

Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.2

Yes, but that said it's not really something that's easy to fix over the phone. Go into the jobcentre and they will help you fix it.
