It is difficult, i am quite sure there are many young people who feel discriminated against because the older population can travel if they want with less hurdles, and its no fault of their own. Likewise someone who turns 18 around the time of the holiday in reality is likely to be no more a risk than someone who is 17 and 350 days old.

The problem I guess is you always have to have some 'line' where its ok, or its isnt. We live with them all our lives, we grow up with them.

I suppose the issue of discrimination could only be answered in one way and thats not to allow anyone to travel without the hurdles, then you get a whole different set of people claiming its unfair.

There really are no easy answers, its frustrating when you are on the wrong side of the line, or fall in the gap. Hopefully more countries turn green so travel is made easier, or alternatively from what i have seen travel companies are offering free transfers of holidays for those on amber so if booked a package maybe look at moving to a green location. There are places to travel that dont include the hurdles and that includes overseas so it is an option to be looked at maybe.
