Vanguard - Stocks & Shares ISA - Transfer In Delays

Anecdotes are not data, but a recent in-specie transfer (a month or so ago) from Fidelity to Vanguard went remarkably swiftly (completed in less than a month), so they do sometimes get it right (it would be useful if the platforms were asked to publish average transfer times). I understand this was an all electronic transfer, unlike the transfer from Fidelity to iWeb that proceeded by post because their systems were not compatible and that then took about 5-6 months (including a delay of more than a month because an initial letter failed to arrive with Fidelity.

The first time it dragged on for months with me messaging both companies for updates and being told by both companies that they were waiting on the other, before Interactive Investor turned around and claimed there had been no transfer request. I gave up and cancelled.
I'm trying again now and it's been a month, exactly the same thing has happened. I decided to call both this time instead of messaging. It seems that interactive investor have sent a valuation of my account to vanguard, who have accepted and are waiting for the transfer of funds.
Interactive investor are again claiming there's been no transfer request but when I raised the points that, if there has indeed been no request then why are they sending out my account information to random 3rd parties for no reason and also, when replying to all my messages about my transfer, why was I being given updates if a transfer didn't exist, they had no answer and just stuck to the "there hasn't been a transfer request on your account" line.
I'm not sure who's at fault so am going to leave them to sort it out between themselves. It's a nightmare and I'm pretty fed up of it.
Thanks for this. Your situation sounds very similar to the one that I am experiencing.
Do you have a phone number that you can share please? I can't find one on their website as everything is directed via their portal.
I have juts received another very familiar message
"At this stage we are waiting for a response from the team to provide clarification on the status of your transfer requests.
We are currently experiencing higher volumes at present however as soon as we receive an update from the team, we will reach out to you directly."

No worries, Vanguard did mention on the phone that they do the transfer requests electronically via the Altus system and that they may have to try a physical paper form transfer instead so maybe the issue is to do with how this Altus system is handled.
The number I used for Vanguard is 0800 587 0460 and then go through the options. I got through to speak to a person instantly and they were very helpful.0 -

SIPP rather than ISA but I transferred into Vanguard 2 Scottish Widow stake holder pensions and a standard life stakeholder. From initiating the transfer to receiving the money into Vanguard took less than 2 weeks for all of them, this was in March this year.0

When RateSetter closed down their markets on the 6th April this year I asked for the funds in their ISA to be transferred to my Vanguard S&S ISA.The transfer completed on the 10th May - and required a paper form filling out and sending to Vanguard.
So a bit over a month in my case…0
