I'm not sure whether you're being sarcastic here...but by way of example, look at this, which comes in at under £600 (the equivalent of ten tanks of petrol): https://ao.com/product/nf60188sta-stoves-fridge-freezer-stainless-steel-42656-28.aspxSandtree said:
Ok, so we're talking about the ones we mortals can afford... the small car priced ones have the same capacity as the free standing ones.Rosa_Damascena said:
You get a lot less fridge for the space, and the doors never seal as well as freestanding. Which is a problem for an appliance designed to keep things coolSandtree said:
What inconveniences are you considering @Rosa_Damascena ? Do these persist with the silly money integrated units that don't actually go in a cabinet?Rosa_Damascena said:Sticking out is minor compared to the inconvenience an integrated fridge brings with it. To my mind the integrated element is a pure waste of space.
295L capacity in a standard 600mm width. Much more than you would ever get into an integrated FF.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0 -
Not being sarcastic... if you look at the Liebherr Monolith range or Sub-Zero units etc that are integrated then a 600mm freezer is c325L and a fridge is c430L both of which are larger than our freestanding 600mm fridge and freezer. The problem is they are north of £13k for a pair in the UK (if you're lucky, much cheaper in the USA)Rosa_Damascena said:

Random thought: every kitchen is going to have to have a rubbish bin or two in it - probably two if you're recycling food scraps. Are they going to live under the window that's too short for cabinets? I don't see anywhere else for them.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
