    It would help if you'd explain on what basis the Paypal dispute was closed on 17/1/21? The norm is that the seller has to prove receipt-you wouldn't send something of this value without recorded delivery, so it should have been an open and shut case for a refund, without such evidence.
    Your account is somewhat vague and I suspect that perhaps your daughter is not giving you all the facts.

    Just thinking about this, was this PayPal in the traditional sense, or PayPal Merchant Services, as a card processor?

    Not sure, the PayPal account is to her bank and bank card, I need to check if its merchant or actual PayPal, couldn't access anything late last night, going to call them today to see, the person had responded to my message saying to refund ASAP as she told my daughter to show me previous message about waiting for her benifit or tax credit payment which my daughter deleted -I'm still at work at the moment so unable to reply as its on her phone. Fingers crossed can sort something today, thanks for all the help :)

    If its Depop then its PayPal buyer to seller funds transfer, not card services.
    Depop is a bit like eBay.
