Reclaim cost of solar panels

I was cold called last week by a consultancy firm ANIC Associates who said I could reclaim some or all of the money we spent on solar panels.I have  had other cold callers recently saying that if I bought these through a finance arrangement I could get a refund, and when I tell them we paid directly (cheque)  they are not interested. However ANIC Associates say that because the company supplying our panels has since gone into liquidation, we can clam a refund directly from the big banks as Barclays and others are setting millions aside for this, which is set to become the next PPI-type issue. ANIC say that this refund is due because any guarantees covered by our panel suppliers are voided because they no longer exist, so we may have expenses that should come under the guarantee. To get any further information beyond an introductory letter from ANIC I would have to sign an agreement without even knowing what fees they would charge, which I am not going to pursue.

However, I write to ask if anyone knows about the entitlements ANIC say I have? Google searches bring up lots of information on claiming refunds for mis-selling of solar panel and under performance against promised returns, if people paid by a finance agreement, but I cannot find anything that covers the refund that ANIC says I can claim. Our F.I.T. payments are roughly what we were informed would be the case when we purchased the panels so the returns are what we anticipated. According to ANIC our refund entitlement rests solely on the fact that our supplier has since gone out of business.

Any help or information would be appreciated
