Appeal rejected

Hi, I recently received a parking notice from Regent Parking after I had parked in a block of flats. I am a specialist nurse and was visiting a patient. I referred the patient into hospital as concerns regarding his health. The flats are on a dual carriageway and I have to carry large equipment so couldnt find anywhere else to park nearby. The patient incorrectly informed me that as long as I didnt park in a numbered space, it was ok. There was no option to pay a daily rate either as stated in my appeal rejection letter from Regent Parking. It seems incredibly mean to me. Can anyone please help with what my options are now, other than paying up?

Complain to the managing agent of the block of flats or, if the resident has recovered sufficiently, ask them to do it on your behalf. Other helpful advice will be found in the NEWBIE sticky just below where you clicked on the New Post drop-down button.2

Plan A , a landowner cancellation
Plan B , an appeal , already been rejected , as they ALWAYS are
Plan C , an IAS appeal , kangaroo court , not recommended
Plan D , court , within 6 years , using the Jopson case etc2 -
Thanks for your replies. The resident is socially house in the flats and said they are treated badly and have no rights. The management hung up on me when I tried to explain. Thanks I've seen the newbie bit now. Not sure all the stress is worth it and will be easier to just pay the £100 unfortunately.0

And by doing that, you directly condemn other people (vulnerable people) to PCNs because you'd be funding the next PCNs and sponsoring the regime.
Are you happy to fund the next few PCNs, just to avoid some letters in the post?
Regent are not litigious and so it's unlikely to lead to any small claim, but if it did, you'd defend. Easy enough an we have a template defence.
This is not stressful and the letters are to be laughed at (see 4th post of the NEWBIES thread where I show links to people's collections of laughable letters from the likes of DRP). They cannot just get a CCJ and nor can they come knocking, it's just silly letters.
However, do an appeal if you haven't already, because it is better to engage once.
DO NOT PAY YOUR WAGES TO THIS FIRM.
There is no reason or justification for paying £100 to a parking firm.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Complain to your MP. her MP, and local paper. If this is a charity complain to them. IMO they are likely to struggle if they take this to court. Please do not pay a penny unless a judge orders it, it is a scam Read this

Ok thanks, I'll stand my ground. The fact I have provided them with evidence of a genuine reason for being there, proves it is, just a money making scam. There is a sign up however but I swear it wasnt there when I parked, cant prove that though. It looks new with shiny screws. Thanks again for the support!1

You can ask the landowner when that new sign was added. They will know.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I don't suppose anyone knows what constitutes insufficient signage? Is one A2 outside the car park (left side as you drive in, so not drivers side) and one inside the car park (on backwall of carpark) considered enough?0

Insufficient signage is subjective, based on opinion and evidence that the terms were not 'prominent and transparent' as required in the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Google and read the CRA 2015 test of fairness and look at the requirements for prominence and transparency.
Also look at the CMA's Guidance on the CRA 2015, where they explain what it all means in layman's terms. But it is very straightforward: terms MUST be prominent and transparent, as well as 'fair' (depending upon all circumstances of the case).
No links given, these documents are easy to find and good research for you to understand the main consumer law that protects you.
But honestly, this is ONLY Regent Parking who have never sued anyone - a real small fry parking firm.
Easy enough to defend and complain about to the managing agents of the patient, telling them you will be unable to visit him/her in future if this is what happens to Health Care Professionals.
I'd ask the Managing Agents:
Why don't they have an exemption system in place for visiting Doctors and Nurses on call, given some of their residents are elderly and vulnerable? Do they agree with Regent's decision to reject the appeal, or are they prepared to ask Regent to cancel it for you, a Specialist Nurse, and tell Regent to act more reasonably in future and tell you how to exempt your car, for future visits to what will otherwise now become a blacklisted 'no-go' location for you and your colleagues?
Assuming the car park was the one that was part of the flats/estate, the Managing Agent can cancel it in seconds if you do a written or email complaint in your own words, with evidence of who you were visiting.
Wow, look, never seen this, Regent Parking operate as an 'umbrella company' for any old new parking firms to set up with their signs and contacting the DVLA as if they were them:
http://www.regentparking.co.uk/New Parking Operators
We can assist, train and help new start up operators wanting to start in the parking industry.
You can join either trade association or come under the Regent Parking umbrella until you generate enough revenue to join the trade association and start the DVLA probation.
Hmmm...that needs some thinking about by regulars.
It's there to be abused if anyone can rock up and join them as a satellite franchise offshoot, getting DVLA data under the 'Regent Parking' name. No wonder they've never sued anyone, they are a scattergun company made up of lots of companies, it seems.
Surely this is a way of avoiding DVLA probation/paper applications?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
