Something I've noticed on the MSE forum is the amount of posts about neighbours. I have odd neighbours that used to cause me no end of grief and I even had to get the police involved. Everything from demanding we have their house painted when our painters left 2 tiny spots of paint on their window (came off with my thumbnail) to threatening us with legal action because the soil in our garden was touching their gravel boards and many, many more issues.
It seems that there is an endless que of people intent on causing upset and problems for virtually no reason. I despair at the attitude of so many unreasonable people.
My dear old dad always used to say " you can't reason with fools and madmen".
I do hope you get this issue sorted soon.

My neighbour complained about water running into their garden when I used a pressure water to clean my patio slabs.

We have lived in our house for over 30 years and thank god our next door neighbour who was living there when we moved in is a saint compared with some of the ones posted about on this site ,we never thought about her like that but do now ,mind in the past we have had the neighbours from hell and that made us save up and buy a house where we still are .

For all of the lovely people that gave advise etc I have an update the neighbours have dropped the legal action against me !
Their Surveyor finally came and looked at my property and was able to say that we were right all along
on the down side my 57year old husband died very suddenly partly caused by stress and didn’t see the outcome
But life goes on and I am making the best of it however still have bad neighbours!!
