It is an assumption that FTC is "taking good care" of OP cat - and arguable as FTC has mated the cat to have two litters in quick succession, possibly more.

    I agree.
There is no reason not to have a cat spayed if she is just a pet.

I wouldn't be surprised if those kittens had been advertised on Facebook for £20 each (or more).

Considerably more, given the breed of the cat. With another litter of kittens on the way, I disagree with the person who pretty much said the RO should "get over it and get another cat".
    Ah.
So it's not 'just' a moggy.
Maybe FTC is in love with the money more than the cat.

Devil is in the detail isn't it.

Not one person has asked about the cat!   :)

When someone locally took another person's cats there were posts made describing what had happened on all the local Facebook sites, including images of the cats and naming the person involved. They were returned....

Similarly, the RO did not have the cat spayed.

Maybe 'because of her breed' t( as stated by the R0) the RO wants to breed and make money. However , unless the FCT had the papers and a male of the same breed the kittens wouldn't be worth 'considerably more'.

    Please stay on topic, folks

Yes, FTC is regularly breeding from the cat. Obviously if FTC had wanted a cat and purchased one from a rehoming place, they would have been deprived of being able to do so.

Breeding, neutering, spaying, papers/pedigree are not the issue. Ownership and the law was the topic  o:)

May I add, who will be responsible for the costs incurred by the cat should it need critical care etc? Has any party been negligent? Whose cat is it?

Difficult isn't it. Prepared to take to the court, that's not a problem. It's easily done and comms have been in writing as back up. Just seeking the legal aspect of it really and the onus

You are not going to get answers to the 'legal aspect' that you can 100% rely on on a public forum like this.

My advice is ...pay for legal help

It's not needed to rely upon. Legal experiences would've sufficed.

It was just going off on a tangent.

Other people's experiences - legal or otherwise - don't guarantee you will get the same result or different result.

I hope you get the result you are looking for.

Someone I know recently found two feral kittens in a hedge in a field near her home.  Approximately 5 weeks old - she litter trained them and fed them up.  Now 9 weeks old, both sold within minutes of being posted on facebook for £200 each!!!
