Zero standing charge
Hi,
I have a gas tariff which there's no standing charge to pay, I only pay for the gas used, which in my case is no more than £1.40 a quarter, yes you read that correctly.
This tariff ends on 31.07.21. I have spent a fair bit of time looking for a tariff with no SC & cannot find one. I feel quite aggrieved that I am going to have to pay getting on for £70 a year without using a single unit of gas.
Does anyone have a current supplier that has zero SC please?
TIA,
Andy.

That particular ship has now sailed. It was a tariff model that was always going to be exploited by people with solar who don't use any gas at all during the summer.0

Muz3TA said:Does anyone have a current supplier that has zero SC please? The best you can do is use one of the switching sites and put in you actual annual use (or just enter 1kWh) and see which is the cheapest option.Even if t you find a supplier that has zero SC they will have a minimum billing amount per year, or they will heavily load the price of the first kWh used so it has the same effect as a SC in both cases. In reality it is not unfair as you are not currently paying the cost of maintaining your gas supply or your account...
