EasyJet £0 transfer fees!

Can someone explain why I am being charged £250 to to transfer 4 Easyjet return flights to flights which are £600 cheaper than original booking.  It seems a con to advertise £0 transfer fees when you are charging for a ‘fare difference’ that is higher than fares advertised.  Didn’t expect a refund but I did want to pay more for flights that are a lot cheaper.

You need to look at the flight legs individually rather than the cost of return (Easyjet price their tickets as one-ways)
eg outbound was £100 now £150, return was £100 now £50...although the total is the same, the charge would be £50 for the outbound and no refund on the return
