Money transfer option missing from Virgin app

I've had a virgin cc for about 5 years now and never had any issues. However today I wanted to do either a money transfer or balance transfer (don't mind which) and realised there's no option to do so via the app. Anyone know why this might be? I have over 5k available on it and always been able to do it when using the website.

Are you saying the option is not available on the app but is on the website? If so, use the website.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

Are you sure they are offering you this facility at the moment? If you go on the site instead and there is an offer, do it there, if it is not there, the app is simply reflecting the fact they don't want to give you this at the moment1

There is no website for Virgin CC, it is purely app based.Showing MT and BT options for me under Payments.0

Exactly this. When the website was available I always had an option to transfer money or a balance from another card but now everything is done through the app nothing showing. Are you looking in the right place within the app?glothy said:I've had a virgin cc for about 5 years now and never had any issues. Confusingly, balance/cash transfers are listed under the Payments tab.
I only have a balance transfer at 0% until 30th September 2022 with a 4% fee showing at the moment.0 -
Interesting. Yeah I'm looking in the right place. Even if there weren't offers available I could still transfer at a higher interest rate. Sounds like that's no longer the case and they're bring more selective as to who can transfer. Which means I'll have to cancel my card and apply elsewhere. Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. Are you looking in the right place within the app?

I have no experience of Virgin, but Barclaycard is a new adventure every month these days. I get a monthly email with my 'offers', for a while there was no money transfer, now there is, the length of time to pay back and the % fee change all the time. They're either trying to find one that suits me or they are doing more affordability checks.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.1

Just checked mine and the option is still there - so they must be narrowing down the number of customers it's offered to. Mine is almost always under 5 percent utilisation and fully paid every month by DD - but who knows what their selection criteria is, Try the eligibility checkers direct on a few card lender websites to see your chances of approval - if you get lots of no's - then check your files are accurate with the CRA's, and if they are, you'll have to work out a way to reduce your balance more quickly to avoid interest.0 -
Can't imagine many folk taking them up on that second offer!cymruchris said:
