How to find my iPhone passcode
How to find my iPhone passcode
I’m trying to set up my friends new iPhone 8 Plus from her iPhone 6s using the automatic setup. The procedure seems easy enough until I reach the request for the passcode, then it’s BLANK. It’s been that long since she’s had the phone that neither of us have a clue what the passcode is. Indeed if the phone could have been set up without a passcode I doubt if she ever set it up!
Anyway how do I find that passcode. I don’t want to mess around to much in case the new phone locks!
As always many thanks for your help.
ps I should add that she has already used up all of her 5G allowance, so a manual backup is not an option

You can’t.The passcode is set up right at the beginning of setup and isn’t stored anywhere. If it’s forgotten it’s going to have to be a manual setup, though I’m unsure what 5G has to do with it as the iPhone 8 isn’t a 5G phone and if you are incorrectly using it to signify a data allowance of 5GB, a manual set up doesn’t use any more data than an auto setup. You should be connected to WiFi to set up, in truth.====0 -
My mistake I should have said her 5GB that Apple give you for storage0

As second post, you can't 'find' the passcode, you have to know it.
It's THE security feature of the iPhone. It would be no use at all if the code was discoverable.

You don’t need the pass code to copy the data across; if it’s stored on iCloud as you’re suggesting then she can just use her Apple ID on the new phone and everything will come down automatically0
