I am looking for a new pair of running shoes. My last pair was: Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 for £159.95.
These shoes no longer appear to exist on the Nike website. I would be grateful for comments or thoughts of other trainers in this price range.

Have you tried to source them from a retailer?Even though Nike have discontinued them,Taking particular care that you are buying from a legitimate company rather than a dodgy Chinese website of course. You might find this useful:They compare 3 alternatives.0

what surfaces do you use these to run on?

I run a bit more than you do according to your other thread. (I run 15 - 22 miles per week, every week).
My feet are totally flat and I used to have to wear motion control running shoes. But a podiatrist prescribed orthotics for me about 12 years ago (best running purchase I ever made) and now I only buy Neutral/Cushioning shoes - which I presume your Nikes are? (I'm not familiar with Nike shoes as I've never really liked them).
For the last umpteen years I have only bought and used Asics Cumulus and Nimbus shoes - I really like them and rotate between the two models. They are really good shoes.
Having said that, I have also recently bought a pair of Asics Glideride shoes. They are one of the Asics "new design/technology" shoes. They look weird - toes very turned up at the front - and also feel weird - very stiff midsole. However, once you get used to wearing them they are great to run in and very cushioned. But I suspect they aren't for everybody and may take some getting used to. Unfortunately you can't get used to them without parting with about £130+. I was happy to do that because I wanted to try something different - and I was not disappointed.
I get all my running shoes from here: Running Shoes, Clothing and Accessories | Start Fitness Interestingly they don't sell Nike.
I can personally recommend their Balega brand running socks - a joy to run in.
Going back to your other thread - you've run 300+ miles in those Nike Zoom Pegasus? I think it's generally accepted that a pair of running shoes should last for about 400 - 500 miles (give or take) before you have to bin them. Once I get to 400+ miles I've pretty much worn through the outsole at the heel and am down to the midsole. By all means go back to the retailer and complain, but as one of the other posters on your other thread said, you've had pretty much 75% of their useful life out of them so I suspect you'll get nowhere.

Do you need the extra performance from the Turbo variant, or are these for general running/training? If the latter the 'normal' Pegasus should be fine (Pegasus 38 is the current one, 37 last year's and so on), and save a bit. Similar fit & feel.
There isn't a like-for-like replacement in the Nike range (the Tempo is the fast training shoe, but isn't the all-rounder that the Pegasus Turbo was, and only really comes into its own for interval/tempo work).
