I hope you don’t mind my saying this but are you sure it’s cats? The only reason I ask is that cats will bury their own poo.
It’s a thing that come from big cats to hide their scent to avoid predators.
I have 3 cats and at least 2 of them will ONLY poo in our garden AND they never bury it … walking across my grass is like walking in a minefield at times .

I have to pay my daughter to clear it up every week but it’s the best £5 I ever spent!!

Sorry I don’t actually have anything constructive to add other than ‘I feel your pain!’

Hedgehogs could be adding, but have cats crapping on camera

So it's happening not just on your lawn. I'd suggest getting some lion poo if you can as the ultimate deterrent.

In my previous house - a bottle of urine scattered seems to have worked.  Have a bigger garden and not sure how long it'll take to collect the required amount  :D

I used lightweight expanding trellis screwed to the top of my panels
I have nice plants growing up them now as an extra deterrent and to look better.
    100pc cat proof for 18mts.
Even the squirrel doesn't like it and deters seagulls.
1pound 50 a pop from local diy. Garden centre 8pounds. Same brand

    Hi twopenny

I like your idea about the trellis but can't find exactly what I need. I've looked on ebay and Wilko and Argos. Can you please add a photo so I can see exactly what you bought?
    Thanks
