Safestyle terrible service - advice needed

Options
Without going into details we recently had conservatory fitted by Safestyle (windows, doors and roof replaced) and at every stage the communication and service has been terrible.

We have not heard back from them despite many calls and promises. They have never even contacted to acknowledge the major issue of glass roof panel shattering onto worker and garden.

We are also waiting for compensation package to complain but again not heard.

What are our options. Luckily we don't need to pay balance till Jan so we have some time to get compensation

I've read your post several times and it seems like you are asking what your options are to get compensation but I can't see what you are claiming compensation for. Communication was a bit poor and a DG unit broke as they were fitting it (presumably replaced) but what are your losses?

I accept that someone cleverer than me might understand your request but you might want to give a bit more info.
Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.

I read this as a catalogue of errors and multiple communication failures. There is so much frustration behind this post and it's not technical "in my home" advice sought, its consumer.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

Thank you for the response. Essentially it is the combination of total lack of communications and the various issues. I could list each aspect but would be here for a while. :0)

Even before the roof panel shattered it had to be reordered twice because surveyor measurements wrong. Then when replaced abd fitted it did not have protective tint

We are planning on going brought the compensation route with safestyle but wasn't sure else we could do

Gnomes luckily unscathed but will need to replace all the gravel on one side as full of glass

Again, compensation for what exactly? You don't seem to have any losses to compensate for.
  • Hi,
I'm new to this sight and wondered if anyone has had any luck in claiming compensation from Safetyle UK?

We had new windows and door installed in June 2021 and we have had such a fight on our hands trying to get all the repairs done (23 issues in all).

Eventually they came last week and completed the repairs and have offered us £150.00 compensation LOL.

We had paid in full £7,000 and now they are not interested at all - basically they have had their money.

Has anyone got any suggestions other than the CAB office (waiting for a call back) and the Double Glazing Ombudsman (waiting for a call back too).

    Many thanks

I'd go back to them and detail your financial losses as a letter before action and see if they increase the offer.

Is there really a double glazing ombudsman?

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
