    Totally unreasonable. It's their home!

In terms of the pandemic concerns - most vendors will leave the house a few minutes before viewers arrive, having been breathing and living in the house all day up until that point. It really makes no difference.

Would have been interested in the reaction you got if you had left...
Yes, their home that they're selling! I have now viewed about 40 properties and not once was the vendor there....it's sort of obvious that when you're selling a one bed flat, you don't sit there taking up half the living room so they can't even look properly. Isn't it?
How much would there be to look at in a 1 bed flat?

    Totally unreasonable.
Plus we're no longer in the middle of a pandemic.

Pandemic or not, it is a bit daft to have excessive numbers of people cluttering up the property, or to pay an agent to show people round when you're there anyway...

I would've expected the vendor to be there.
As for the virus; do you think it could've been on the work surfaces, doorknobs, towels, etc?
So long as they kept their distance, it should've been OK and it would've been a courtesy for everybody involved to wear a mask.

What an inane question. Why bother viewing it at all, then? With a one bed, the living area is pretty much everything. I want to get a sense of it, imagine where I'd put my desk, check out the view out of the window, etc. I would say the smaller the space, the MORE important it is not to sit there in the way. I couldn't even go over to the window because he was sitting in front of it!

Weird, because the agency's own guidelines state that the vendor must not be present and all windows must be left open.

Then complain at the time to the EA?
