So as my last question was removed for apparently being rude 🙄
I am going to ask it again,
why on my iPad when I click a thread to read it does it only flag/bookmark said thread & won't open it for me to read or comment on, I can't hold my finger over it & click open in new window because apparently I don't have Java installed.

You need to hold the iPad in landscape, whereas in portrait clicking on threads bookmarks them as you've noted. I think a few people already reported this bug.2
