Brake discs/ pads
I believe TMD are now producing Eicher for Euro, hows the quality there.
I'll be fitting them myself.

Textar were good. I used to fit them before going with Eicher. I've not bought any disks or pads of any brand for a couple of years though so I don't know if they are still ok.The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1

OEM discs are fine. Then get some high-performance pads.

I looked into this and there are so many different opinions that i couldn't really come to a conclusion.
I used Brembo from ECP in the end and they've been fine but I've seen stories saying they're now rebadged cheap Chinese rubbish. One brand that did seem to come out consistently well were Pagid.
I suspect most brands will be fine on your average car.1 -
EBC or Brembo are all I ever fit.
They've both done me proud under very hard conditions in bike racing, so they'll be fine for cars.2 -
I work for peugeot dealer. we have customers asking prices on pads n disks all the time, and also of course other parts as you can imagine. you would not believe the amount of customers we have who buy stuff from all parts. euros, halfords or watever, and then find out they are wrong parts or inferior quality. with car part. as with most things in life, you get what you pay for.1

I worked in a factory that made brake pads ,a lot of the pads came down the line and went into more than one brands packaging .1 -
In another life I used to work in a govt workshop (mostly but not all commercials). Things like this were ordered through the relevant dealerships regardless of cost however this is on my own dollar so needs must.
Its always good to get feedback from individuals who have purchased out their own pocket.0 -
There is so much information on the internet. People compare the same item from different brands. It's pretty obvious that some are exactly the same item with different brands ( including car manufacturers) printed on.0

Of course it does go on that mega-factories produce stuff for other people, but it doesn't mean it's the same.
I've heard it so many times.
"this TV is made in the same factory as Sony, therefore it's a Sony" (it's not)
"these tyres are made in the same Chinese factory as Michelin, therefore they're Michelin" (they're not).
Each manufacturer will have their own 'mix' and it will be contractually protected, so the factory dare not produce an exact copy.

TMD have been around since before the car. They are the worlds largest supply of brake friction parts.
Chances are we all have them anyway.
They are now owned by Nisshinbo and sell many aftermarket brands, like Texter, Pagid, Eicher and Mintex and partner many car manufacturers for OE brake parts, often under the Bendix brand.
A lot of there stuff for Europe comes out of either the old Mintex factory in Scotland or Pagids Leverkusen site with a few other sites in Romania, Spain and France but they have factories all around the world these days.
Eicher had a bad reputation a few years ago, some bad manufacturing processes caused a few problems but they moved production to Scotland recently and they seem to have sorted them out. These new products have green packaging and I think state "Made in Britain"!
Out of all of them, I've used Pagid many times, they seem as good as any OE disc and pad and I'll certainly fit them again.
