    More than long enough for the ethanol to do its worst.

    Drain the tank and run the engine until the fuel is out of the system.

    According to my mower repairer brother -in-law you should be doing this anyway. He's kept very busy in the spring sorting out things that have just been stuffed in the shed.

    Yes I did.
    I still don't see why anyone would go thru the rigmarole of "washing" fuel with water and then decanting the alcohol/water mix. The theory is straightforward but the practicalities outweigh the so called problem. If E10 fuel is a problem then switch to Super 98 as earlier poster said.

    Super 98 is dearer
