hi just update on my situation: wrote to landlord aka L&G IM no response. Wrote to businesses only one (pets at home responded trying to cancel it) All others including MCDonalds dont care. Wrote DVLA and MP for Broxbourne (both send me prefabricated responses saying all legit). The funny MP said I didn't appeal the ticket so he cant do anything. What a joke! will vote for greens next time to p.. this guy off. Now waiting for pets at home if this is negative will try appeal to POPLA. Lets see.2

OK, your MP sounds useless and needs a follow up email:Wrote DVLA and MP for Broxbourne (both send me prefabricated responses saying all legit). The funny MP said I didn't appeal the ticket so he cant do anything.
He needs to have it pointed out that this is a 'hot topic' for Parliament this year. The Government are about to open the final Technical Consultation as part of the (well-publicised in MP circles) Parking (Code of Practice) Act 2019 and victims of PPCs are not usually criticised these days, by most MPs, for not wasting their time using the failed appeals services.
Does he not realise that the Government has decided (realised) that neither POPLA not the IAS are independent and do nothing for consumers but cause confusion and a race to the bottom? They are going to be replaced by a properly independent Single Appeals Service.
We will be talking about it and the public will have about 4 weeks we think, to tell the MHCLG what you think about the level of parking charges, that the MHCLG has admirably decided already will start at £50 (50% discount) and not £100:
Outcome of 2020 Consultation (look what the public comments achieved so far):

Planned Summer 2021 additional Public Consultation:

It's not open yet but please keep checking back here to see when it is.See what page the Government are on?
Even if he is from a different party, why isn't he on the same page as all the other MPs who unanimously condemned the failed self-serving self-regulation of both Trade Bodies, in 2018?
Read what the other more clued-up MPs are doing for their constituents. Why not him? Why does he think the self-serving appeals system is worth more than the interests of his constituent, who should be 'blamed' for not using it?
