I put in a search but can only find people discussing the TV element of Now, which I don't want.
I just want broadband and phone.
Any feedback would be appreciated before I join.

Been using them for over a year the standard broadband was fine for the first 12 months then I went on to a rolling month by month contract hats of to them as they kept the price at the same level it was for the 12 month contract I then noticed my speed was getting patchy and was around the 2mb and sometimes as low as 0.98 uploads were 0.08 when I contacted them I was told I was lucky to be getting that due to the number of devices connected explained this was the same amount as during my contract and speeds were better then.
I have since signed up to the deal they had for £22 for the 63mb fast broadband which was for new customers but a supervisor was happy to give me the same deal.
Bills have always been accurate and the free anytime calls are a bonus I live in a poor network signal area so rely on the home phone to make and receive calls
As a new customer if you sign up via topcashback they pay upto £100 depending on what option you chose.1 -
I was with Now for just over a year. BB fine, stable connection and speed. Customer service was absolute rubbish, don't want to help with anything, blame the customer for things completely out of their control, etc., etc. The poor CS was the reason why I left.0

I've been with them over two years now, only used for general surfing and a bit of streaming, not games and the like.Bog standard copper not cableOnly had one spell of down time but that seemed to be all my local area and an Open reach fault contractor dug up a cable or similar errorI've only spoken to CS once, at renewal and was immediately offered a reduction without quibbling,Overall no problems at allI also currently have the TV service but that was offer I couldn't refuse at quid a month for to monthsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I've been with them for about 18 months now & quite happy with the service. When my initial 12 months were up they renewed at the same price, which was a great surprise as providers I've been with previously have never failed to increase charges, some significantly, after the initial term expires. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Have used them for a couple of years now. It's basically a no-frills Sky service: the actual speed is identical, and you can use your old Sky router if you are currently with them. I only switched because Sky would no longer play ball when it came to renewal time.
The only thing that is worth pointing out is that they don't offer DD: payment is done by a CPA on your debit card-which means that you don't get the usual DD protection.
They were quite happy to negotiate at first renewal, and threw in some 3 month TV packages as a sweetener. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thankyou to all for the replies, sounds mostly positive.
I am currently with Post Office, who is selling out to Shell and although there are some positives about Shell on this site, there are also a lot of negatives, so I didn't really fancy going with them and Now is cheaper anyway.
macman, I pay other bills online by debit card but never had a CPA.0 -
Thought I would just let you know, I didn't get off to a good start with Now. My go live date was Thursday 22nd July. When my Post Office internet stopped that day, I plugged in the Now router and the internet light did not come on. I waited a few hours to see if would come on and it didn't. I phoned Now, was speaking to someone and got cut off. Phoned again and got cut off. Phoned a third time, by now getting fed up going through the recorded messages. This guy said he'd do tests on the line, which supposedly he did, then he said it should be on soon and he would phone me next morning (Friday) to check.
I wondered if he would phone back, so at 9.30 Friday morning, I phoned again. After explaining everything again to now a 4th person, he again looked into it and said he would phone me back (which he did). He said I would need an engineer visit and as they don't work weekends, he booked me in for Monday morning (8am-1pm). Where the router is plugged into the Openreach socket is quite difficult to get to, I can manage it because I'm tiny but thought an engineer might not manage it.
This morning (Saturday), I had a thought (not holding out too much hope but it was worth a try). I unplugged everything and plugged in the Post Office micro filter instead of the Now one and hey presto, I had internet. Phoned Now for a 5th time, told them what I had done and they cancelled the engineer visit. Only thing is, if and when Post Office ask for their equipment back, I will have to leave the micro filter out of the box (as I'm using it), so don't what will happen about that.0 -
Pick up a micro filter some-place else .
