Now mobile phone with balance can’t make or receive calls or send texts

Hi all.
I have a Now mobile sim that has never been used but I would like the phone number that is attached it to.
I have a Now mobile sim that has never been used but I would like the phone number that is attached it to.
The number can receive text messages but cannot receive calls, make calls or send texts.
I have topped it up with a £5 balance, which worked fine and ringing the Now mobile balance line I can hear that the sim has £5 credit.
Does anyone know what else might need to be done to kick start the sim so that I can obtain its PAC?

Call NOW CS, make sure you have the SIM number (written on the SIM - not the phone number) and ask them to activate it for you.0
