Now mobile phone with balance can’t make or receive calls or send texts

Hi all.

I have a Now mobile sim that has never been used but I would like the phone number that is attached it to. 

The number can receive text messages but cannot receive calls, make calls or send texts. 

I have topped it up with a £5 balance, which worked fine and ringing the Now mobile balance line I can hear that the sim has £5 credit. 

Does anyone know what else might need to be done to kick start the sim so that I can obtain its PAC?

Have you tried the SIM in another phone? Any chance that the SIM has been locked?

Why don't you ask Now CS to check the status for you?

Call NOW CS, make sure you have the SIM number (written on the SIM - not the phone number) and ask them to activate it for you.
