@neilmcl When you say below 3, do you mean towards 2 or towards 4? I get confused about which way is colder/warmer. Mine is still at 3 currently.

Mine is not frost-free, even though the manual that came with it says it is.
Below 3 as in between 2 and 3 (nearer 3). The higher the number the colder the setting. I'd suggest investing in a couple of accurate fridge thermometers, one for the fridge and one for the freezer.

TBH, a non frost free freezer is usually easier to keep cool, just set the fridge temp to where you want it and the freezer should get cold enough, particularly when it's full. Bear in mind the temp in the fridge will be warmer the higher the shelf so you want to aim at, or slightly above 5 degrees, on the top shelf.

I've found these to be reasonably accurate, to within a degree at least - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thermometer-Digital-Refrigerator-Suplong-Waterproof/dp/B01L787TW0/ref=sr_1_3

I also have one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Elitech-RC-5-Temperature-Recorder-Accuracy/dp/B074PPMDCG/ref=sr_1_5

I’ve filled it up and bought another thermometer (the one recommended above). It’s still only getting to -12C. So filling it hasn’t made much difference and now I’m a bit worried that all this food will end up wasted or I’ll get food poisoning. The bread is a bit ‘bendy’ so not getting fully frozen.

Is this faulty? Should all fridge freezers go lower than that? This is only the 6th day I’ve had it so I can return it. I know if I ring Beko or Argos for advice they will drag it out for ages, trying all sorts of things that may not work and I don’t want to wait over the 14 day cut-off.

    IMO, it's a clear fault.

Certainly sounds faulty, the freezer should get down to -18 or colder.
