    Similar to the USA where they defined a standard round meter socket to which any compliant meter or ancillary device must fit.
    No IHD either, just online data access.

    Because it was organised by the energy industry who know diddly squat about usability and couldn't organise a p155 up in a brewery if their business depended on it.

    It is said that the UK smart meter SMETS2 regulation is currently running at
    • 79 documents
    • almost 10,000 pages
    • almost 2.7 million words
    I cannot see any Government wanting to reopen this particular Pandora’s Box anytime soon. We are stuck with it ‘warts n all’.
