smam21 wrote:it seems that they just do it as they feel like it, for instance we have been wanting to purchase a bouncy castle and the particular one I wanted looked pretty good but slapped with a 3.5% charge for paypal, with the bidding up at around £600 before the item was done with that's quite a significant charge. I didn't want to bid until this was removed but also didn't want to email the seller aand risk being blocked or annoying him, so my brother in law and i both reported the listing 4 days ago...and still nowt!
I've got a throw away account if you want to pm me with the item number I'll query the charge with the seller for you if there is still time. Then if I get blocked from bidding it doesn't really matter.

My bro-in-law is pretty keen, if he wins then he'll be spending enough already, plus possible hefty delivery.0 -

I work on the principal that you should shop the seller. If they want extra money they are in the wrong game. If you paid by alternate method they can't request extra so why should paypal be different. If you went to the supermarket & had to pay extra for using debit card you would pay with cash in future- surely?WW Gold Member, trying to maintain !!!Hayden born July 07Tabitha born April 05Poppy born July 030
