I should imagine a whole industry will spring up nicking something off them, if it is "only" the charging cable for the copper, when there are more about
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Not all Cat's are worth nicking, hence the reason they target particular cars. Presumably they have enough of the rare elements to make it worth while. Prius are on the list FAIK. My lad had his nicked off a Jazz.0

Some Mazda MX5 OEM CATs sell for over £1000 more than some of the cars, Honda and Prius's are also very valuable in terms of their original content.
Old OEM CAT's is where the value is.0 -

They might take the whole car to strip for the batteries, but getting at the battery isn't a 1 minute job while the other 3 blokes menace anyone approaching them with knives & hammers. There might actually be enough time to round up enough vigilantes to take them on.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
