So you are wanting to get the New units you paid for free.... Because they made a mess of the work.

No, we've paid for those. We were charged extra for the labour which was below standard and the reason the kitchen is being ripped out again

Insurance companies are regulated, ask for their official complaints procedure, follow this and then proceed to the regulator if their response is unsatisfactory.

The insurance company is fixing the issue and the OP has a whopping 9 days without a kitchen.

They want £1500 or £166 a day for having no kitchen.  Because takeaways.  What were they ordering, caviar?

The first 2 posts advised there was only a claim for direct losses which is generally correct but as this is an insurance issue the ombudsman can rule that compensation is due if appropriate. 

Plenty of people read these threads, maybe they stumble here from Google or search the forum to see if their problem is listed before posting, so it's important for the correct advice to be given IMHO.
