Highview/DCP court claim advice following defence submission

Options
Hello,

Thanks to reading this forum I sent off my defence to the court on 31st May for a claim brought by Highview for a parking ticket issued in November 2015 at a retail park.

However I have not heard anything further other than the acknowledgement of my defence from the court (when should I expect the next forms) but I have had a letter today from DCP asking me to name the driver, as well as a response following my SAR request saying I must provide ALL identity documents (driving licence/passport, utility bill and proof of ownership of the car). However reading this forum I thought I could only provide the utility bill (not giving them intrusive id plus I no longer own that car from over 5.5 years ago?).

Looking for advice on how to respond? Plus when to expect the next steps from the court.

Many thanks

Ignore that letter from DCB Legal Ltd.

The letter from the CCBC confirmed they were sending your Defence to the Claimant and they had 28 days to respond, didn't it?

What you don't know is when the CCBC sent a copy of your Defence to the Claimant.
It follows from that that it is not known when the Claimant has to respond to the CCBC.
Further, we don't know what delays there are in the CCBC that means they don't send you a DQ as promptly as you might like.

Can I suggest that you keep checking your MCOL Claim History and as soon as you see that the CCBC has sent a DQ to you, you are ready to download a DQ, complete it and fire it back to the CCBC, remembering to send a copy to the Claimant of course.

I did try to do a search about DCP letter after submitting court defence but nothing seemed to come up, maybe my search terms 🤷🏼‍♀️ Although it is one of my questions, thanks @KeithP that’s helpful info!

Can anyone give me further information about my question whether I do have to provide all three identification documents as listed for the SAR as they requested?

    Many thanks

I will tell you what I would submit

Copies of 2 recent redacted utility bills or similar , showing the current name and address and date
A copy of the claim form , unredacted
A copy of the V5C if still available , unredacted

    I would not provide

    A copy of my passport
    Or my driving licence
Or my credit card or debit card
    Or my birthday
    Or my telephone number
    Or any other personal information

Yes, probably your search arguments.  ;)

Where did you get DCP from? The sender of that letter was DCB Legal Ltd.
