Our bills (me and Mrs) went up by 11p (from £8) at the end of the contract, presumably due to RPI?

Apart from trying to 'upgrade' us to a more expensive deal, we can see no communication from them informing us of this outrageous price hike.

I'm thinking of writing to the daily mail ;)

Edit - just found a text from "From Three" about the 1.4% increase - better rip that letter up 😚

The contract runs for a minimum term of 30 days, 12 months, or 24 months. At the end of that contract period Three may notify you of a change, with 30 days notice. You are free to obtain a pac (porting authorisation code) to give to a new supplier and leave Three. Alternatively pick a new contract with Three.

Many of us have remained on Three contracts for many months after the minimum period ended, at the original “12 month” rate on a 30 day rolling basis.

However, Three are under no obligation to let customers remain at their old price.

Look around, check T&Cs, haggle with Three if you want to stay, otherwise text for your pac and switch. Details of how to switch are here:

You can move away from Three for a few days, sign up to a new discounted contracted through a site like www.3G.co.uk and then move back

    or

Go to Www.smarty.co.uk and forget contracts and get the same coverage.

Bear in mind new contracts with 3 now include an annual “Inflation +3.9% increase”
