A Family member rents a bedsit in Surrey, from an Oliver Landon Estate Agent, they are in Finsbury Park, they own the whole block of 15 bedsits.  The young man in question got TalkTalk in to fix him up with the Internet and this Landlord has not put the connection on so no one can get the internet.  Does anybody know this Oliver Landon?  If I phone them, a foreign-sounding woman fobs me off, I never get an answer from my emails.  The young man in question realizes on a hotspot, to get the internet.

I suspect that the estate agents are just that, agents for the actual landlord.

So are you saying there no telephone lines going to this block of bedsits?

I don't know if there are any telephone lines going to this block, Jay only has a mobile.

They are letting agents based in Stroud Green Rd Finsbury Park and have very poor reviews on the site above. 
I doubt your family member will get any joy from them

Unless you are the tenant or have authority from tenant to speak on their behalf, agent, landlord, council, utility companies don't have to talk to you.  Encourage tenant to pursue the matter (or use mobile broadband, can be faster than landline! )

Yes he should get a dongle with unlimited data plan and use that for computer, phone etc
