I managed to sell a SNES game for £90. I only paid £20 for it.

Realised it was quite a rare game.

I bought a suitcase from ebay for approx £35. I didn't particularly like it, so I relisted it ... it sold for over £200!!! Turns out it was a Samsonite Starck bag, a collectors item!
    Gone ... or have I?

I wonder if my son still wants his Emerald game :D

Isn't it a pity that the simple pleasure of seeing an item go for more than expected, has to be tinged with suspicion these days :(

I had one last night where I was expecting £20 and it went over £100. Buyer paid instantly, confirmed address, we exchanged pleasant emails yet still it feels a bit odd.

Read too many ebay horror stories I guess

  • Reminds me of the Lego Space set I sold a couple of years ago...would have been happy getting £10 for it, OH and I sat at the computer with chins on the floor as the bidding rocketed up to £90 in the last minute! :D Was bought by a lovely guy from Denmark who was absolutely thrilled with it...don't you just love transactions like these :)

Whilst clearing out my son's room, we came across a couple of Gameboy Advance games with the instruction booklets so I decided to try my luck on Ebay.

Anyway they've all been sold but one of them has gone for alot more than I was expecting - it's sold for £16!!!!! It's a pokemon game (the emerald version) with only the instruction booklet.

The buyer has already paid - so should I count my lucky stars (hubby wanted to just throw them out!) or should I be wary of some scam????

Seems a sad world when someone would consider this to be a possible scam.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!

    Children of Mana perchance?

And £16 for Pokemon emerald is an average price - most places still charge £35 for it new (if you can get it). Pokemon games are still popular :)

I expected an item (freebie) to go for 99p, it just finished including (insured!) overseas postage for £25!

I used to go to LighterLife, but I didn't like it and only stuck at it for about 3 months. I had 2 and a half weeks of shakes left after I stopped going They were mostly chocolate and I put them up for sale. There were lots for sale on ebay. I about passed out when they went for over £200!
