Green Network Energy - final bill
Just received my final bill from GNE ( now EDF) In it I noticed the standing charge had increased by nearly 100% for both Gas and Electricity. Called the service desk to be told the rates increased as they were in administration!!! - I have contract with GNE but was never told of an increase in the standing charge and the subsequent EDF contract protects the original GNE tariff - so how come in administration they can charge more? I have complained - check your bill!

@jiwer Did you cancel your direct debit with GNE? Some other customers (like myself) found that this caused the tariff to change. There is a long-running thread on the GNE to EDF switch which you might find useful.

My understanding of the rates to be expected on my final GNE bill, if one ever arrives, isBilling to 27 January - rates as per your contract with GNEBilling from 28 January to switch date - EDF variable GNE tariff rates. The EDF rates allegedly will generate the same or lower billing than GNE hence EDF's price match guaranteeIs that correct?0
