To conclude the matter, you may remember I gave Virgin Media the required 30-days notice of leaving their broadband a few days late on 27 May - I should have given notice on 21 May because Now Phone & Broadband was to be activated on 21 June.
That happened on time without drama, and although my Now is only standard broadband (and includes Anytime phone) I'm obtaining 14.7/1.05 speeds, lower than Virgin Media's typical 54/5 speed, but with no detectable difference in practice.
Virgin Media didn't get around to cutting off their service until yesterday, 29 July, and today emailed stating that a package in which to return their equipment will arrive in about 2 weeks.0
