DDIC & Credit Rating/History (Direct Debit Indemnity Claim)

Hi All,
I've a question about DDICs and Credit Rating/History.
I've opened a dispute with Ofcom/CISAS regarding my broadband supplier's charging for an Openreach engineer's visit (short version: at height of first lockdown I had broadband issues, supplier sent Openreach to fix problem, engineer confirmed issue was at exchange, engineer did not even come into house, Openreach engineer's visits are only to be charged to customer when the fault is inside the home).
The Ofcom/CISAS dispute system has accepted my case and it is now waiting for the broadband-supplier to reply.
(The company's representative said "DDICA" on the phone but I assume they want me to contact my back and make a DDIC, as I understand it, the DDICA is how the company will be notified when I make the DDIC)
I have indeed disputed the charges, so a DDIC would appear to make logical sense, however it seems a little strange that this came to me as a phone call and not via the dispute resolution centre (ie: this would seem to resolve the issue and then the dispute-case would be closed). It also seems a bit strange or backward that the company (broadband supplier) is advising the payer (me) to request a DDIC.
So I'm concerned that there could be some finer details I'm missing here.
Does any one know if DDICs are recorded on individual's credit files/rating/history?
Also is anyone aware of any other issues that I might experience should I make this DDIC with my bank?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Yesterday I received a phone call from broadband supplier informing me they will send a compensation cheque on two conditions:
- I contact my bank and request a DDICA (Direct Debit Indemnity Claims Advice) for the charges to my bank account
- I close my dispute-case with the resoution centre

DDICs don't show on your credit files as such, but missed payments do. That doesn't appear to be the case here.0
