I just bought a smaller chest freezer from Amazon with an A rating efficiency
this was the main reason I bought it
the one I received has an F rating
i only noticed after I plugged it in and filled it with food
i don’t want this as everything in my house is very efficient and I really care about going green
what is the process to get my money back please?

Contact the seller and tell them they've sent the wrong item.

Your chest freezer IS energy efficient, it's just that new energy rating bands have recently been introduced. F is the new A+.
Vendors have until 1st December to sell old stock.

Extract:
"From March 1, the most popular models of fridge-freezers will be E- and F-rated. Formerly known as A++ and A+, they are highly efficient, using 40% less energy than the average appliance in homes a decade ago and estimated to cost just £41 or less a year to run."ETAI bought my F-rated chest freezer in May and attached a smart power plug to monitor electricity usage for the first seven days (from powering on, which includes getting down to working temperature).
