It's easily purchased online and it has a colour we want. It's also a brand I've seen recommended on painting and decorating trade forums. We could try to have the colour matched to Johnstone's or Leyland but the price difference is neither here nor there.
It's also one of the only places that offers physical colour charts and doesn't charge for them (although you could argue it makes it up in the cost of paint).
NB I need something I can get online or from a local Wilko due to being miles from a B&Q or decorating centreLiving with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -

My decorator guy recommended it when he did his last quote for me. He's using it on all his jobs, internal and external, if the customer can bear the price.

In our living room we used Dulux almond white luxurious silk finish. The 'silk finish' is really subtle and we like it better than just a plain matt finish. And the 'almond' is barely distinguishable. The ceiling is white matt, though - I'd always recommend matt for ceilings. Dulux or B&Q has always been fine.
We've used Dulux and also some B&Q paint throughout our flat and would recommend both. I don't think you have to pay a fortune to get a decent finish but on the other hand, I'd not buy the cheapest - you just end up using more because it's not as thick. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Homebase, pure brilliant white, silk - cheap and quick to freshen up the main rooms.Good home, Milltown, silk for the hall. Surprised myself with this one but it looked gorgeous in the reviews and even better in my home.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0
