Claiming compensation from BT (FTTP)

Hi there, hope someone can help, will try and keep this as brief as possible but completely fed up with BT's service.
We moved into a semi-rural area in July 2020. At the time, fibre speeds of only 1-3mb were available however we were aware that openreach were due to upgrade the whole of the road to Fibre to Premises (FTTP). This went ahead in January 2021, and along with our neighbours we ordered FTTP from BT, put a deposit down and agreed to a direct debit, being promised speeds of 900MBPS. Fast forward to today, every single property except ours is connected to FTTP.
We ordered FTTP from BT on the 22nd April and have had multiple engineers from Openreach and their subcontractor Kelly Communications out to install. We have constantly been promised connection only to be fobbed off by an engineer who says they can't do it.
BT promise to call us to get us connected and never do, it's always us chasing them. They have now called today to say that due deliver a bombshell, saying that due to HS2 works they cannot provide us with the FTTP until March 2022!!! This is despite their constant promises that we would receive the product. There are 7 of us in the house including children who suffered last summer without a decent internet connection and have of course been promised they would have it this summer.
Could anyone advise on taking this further legally/compensation for the service (or lack of it) received?
Many thanks

You should be entitled to something for the delayed installation, up until the cancellation.1

Put a proper complaint in writing to BT .But if something cannot be done ,not sure how you claim compensation .Their must be a reason why Openreach cannot service your property .1
