He got a phone call from Energy Watch, who asked what was happening and then they put him through to British Gas. How stupid was that, we are quite capable and have spoken to British Gas on many occasions, getting no-where. Thats why I contacted Energy Watch, for someone to try and help with this query.
I just wanted to say I think EnergyWatch is a waste of time.
The reason for this is EnergyWatch want to give British Gas one last chance to sort out the problem. Having been in the position not too long ago (a switch was blocked by BG erroneously 3 times) this department that EnergyWatch put you through to are far more helpful than the rest of the call centre - one call made sure we were not blocked again and 3 subsequent short calls even got us a call back from BG when the switch application had gone through successfully, got us £20 compensation and even set us up on a Payment Plan to finish paying our final bill. I'd not dismiss this department out of hand immediately - if they don't sort things out for you then ask for the complaint to be escalated to EnergyWatch itself.0
