Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -
That's a darned fine job, Danny! And its Stuart and not Stewart.Tho' I doubt it's the first time he's had to cope with that :-)It takes a day or more before it's fully set, so - yes - bits will come off if you rub it. Tsk...2

Oops, sorry Stuart. Thank you guys for all your help and will post pictures when I finish the wall which due to work will probably be next week.

Quick question. Is there any easier way to clear the lumpy and older paint off without a hammer and chisel as I am trying to do some now and it is endless task.0

These are good if the paint is a bit brittle. Don't need to hit them hard, but the bricks look a bit soft so you need to be careful.

What are your plans, Danny? To repaint it?If so, don't ache over this too much - just remove the obvious flaky stuff. Use whatever does the job - I've been known to resort to old wood chisels for similar...Once cleaned up off loose bits, give it a good wire brushing, and then Stabilising solution until it stops soaking it up.Then paint.Or do you want to show off your wonderful pointing?
Wouldn't blame you...

I would have liked to see what it looks like without any paint but removing all the paint would probably take weeks. There are 2 of those walls as well.
Some of the paint is on quite thickly.0
