    Its a lazy spa, they are inflatable so a pair of scissors will do it.

    I've seen this request a few times. It's because "just picking up the old one when they deliver the new one" is actually really expensive as now the courier has to go back to layz spa and it counts as a separate delivery. 

    It does kind of mean they dont trust you, which is sad but really a reflection of how powerful consumer rights have become so probably a good thing on the whole.

    I'd agree concerns over how long this will then take to resolve are valid, but unlike your car analogy you dont "need" the hot tub (I empty mine every other month anyway, makes it more of a fun thing when it's full)
